I see danger I smell violence,
In the heaviness and silence,
that shakes the ground and rustles through your leaves.

The oceans they are cruel it's true,
but nothing is as mean as you,
at least that's what you wanted me to see -

And if the tides don't turn,
then surely we will capsize.
And the winds,
will fan our flames on high.

And the bow will break,
and our bodies will collapse,
and you know,
I never wanted this.

Another shipwreck on the waves,
I am the one you thought would save,
you from yourself but how could I?

When dashed against the rocks we'd be,
and misery loves company,
gail force will always get you by and by.

And if the tides don't turn,
Then surely I will capsize,
and the winds,
will send me out to the night.

And my bones,
will break,
and my body will collapse,
and you know,
I did this to myself.

I am the snake, I am the fruit,
I am the hand that hangs your noose,
I am the stranger,
crawling 'round the vine.

Your flesh will char and chase the chill,
from my bones,
and I shall,

tend your embers only for a time.

And if the tides don't turn,
I'm going down.
And in your eyes, I know I'll drown.

And this heart will break,
and in darkness I collapse,
and you know -

the waves have claimed me now.
